"One's destination is never a place
but rather a new way of looking at things"

Henry Miller

The journey

We are Fidelia and Souf, a couple of simple people who live their art.
In Fidelia's case, it's the art of the body, movement, breath, and voice.
Souf on the other hand creates visual art, from any material the hands can touch.
We fell in love 4 years ago in Portugal, and since then we live a nomadic life, together and apart.

During these years on the road, we've lived in Europe, West Africa, and Israel,
and filled the sacks on our shoulders with local inspiration from different cultures.
In return we've left the signature of our heart and art in the places that hosted us -
Souf created art works in houses and other spaces, with paint, recycled material and natural material, and Fidelia lead workshops, and worked personally with individuals.

Today we feel that we are ready for the next step in our life, building ourselves a nest. Inside we feel a strong calling to the silence and magic of the desert.
We've been looking for a creative way to combine the search for a house in the desert with our love for creativity, and our will to share it, and this is where A giving Journey came into the frame. The idea is to tour the desert, through different places that are interested in hosting us and share their knowledge (communities, workshops centers, farms, camping sites, art centers, etc)

and give in exchange from our knowledge and skills voluntarily
(wall paintings, recycled sculptures, yoga lessons, healing and meditation, earth building, etc)

Who are we?

Ahalan, I'm Souf, a visual artist, a nomad, and a conciousness explorer. I was born in Israel to a loving family , and grew up in the centre area.Since childhood, creativity was flowing out of me non stop, with painting, cley sculpting, writing and animation. As I grew up, I moved to dealing with photography, and then to video art, performance, and other mediums. In my mid 20's I moved to Jerusalem, to study photography and art, and started a new period in my life as an artist and activist. For 7 years I have been using art as a tool for social change in different communal frames, and have created many projects. I have established the visual label “Mejadra Eyes” with Shlomit Yaacov, and “Hamabul collective” with other amazing partners to the path. One day, in April 2015, the moment came for me to pack my life, and set out to wandering, following an ancient dream, towards west Africa. Setting out on this journey has changed planty of things in my life, I've left the digital world, started working more with my hands, released old paterns, and learned to listen to observe and listen to my heart, and the heart of those who surround me. In my eyes it has been a rebirth, a reincarnation while living. Today, after 4 years of nomading, I feel it's the time to follow an inner call for a life in the desert, and find Fidelia and mine's house.

Hi, I'm Fidelia, originally from the mountains of south Germany. At 2012 I've finished 3 years of occupational therapy studies. Then, from my professional background, I developed a deep interest in the body and it's wisdom. I've decided to study dance, choreography, and performance art in different professional programs in Berlin and Lisbon. This new creative process led me to a question: How can I access the body, feel it, and express through it? That question made me explore more somatic approaches such as Yoga, Contact improvisation, Body work and Voice exploration. I fuse alternative healing methods with artistic practices, an act which helps me personally to connect more and more  with my essence. In recent years I have been certified as a teacher of traditional Hatha Yoga, and I am on my way to being a Somatic Movement Educator of Body-Mind Centering®.I have also taught and organized workshops and retreats in Portugal, Austria, Germany, Senegal and Israel. My dedication is to help people find the key to their body. The more we are present in our body and act from it, the more directly we encounter life, and let them lead us without struggle. I am excited to unpack my collected wisdom I have gathered over the past ten years, to explore with you, and to embark on a journey that will make us curious about the body universe. My language of instruction is English.
